Leadership can be defined as managing change. Public affairs concern policy decisions that should be open to the entire community. Thus leadership in public affairs consists of changing the way we do the public’s business—of taking the initiative in finding new ways to include everyone in policy decisions that affect us all.

The primary mission of the Leadership in Public Affairs program at TCNJ is to foster the development of leaders who will positively transform the processes of public life. The LPA program conducts campus and community-based programs and produces multimedia case studies for school and college use.

More details about the program are available through the links at far left. The program is directed by Dr. William J. Ball, Department of Political Science.
